Nestled in the northeastern region of Gramsh, near the charming villages of Kabash and Bardhaj, lies the stunning Canyon of Holta. Formed by the relentless erosion of the Holta River, this 3-kilometer-long and 350-meter-high canyon boasts breathtaking vistas and rugged beauty. Its slopes are dotted with unexplored karst caves, offering adventurous explorers the thrill of discovery. From scaling rocky cliffs to delving into hidden caverns, the Canyon of Holta promises an unforgettable journey into Albania’s natural wonders.

We depart from Tirana at 08:30 from your accommodation.

After a well-deserved coffee break lasting between 20 to 30 minutes, we’ll resume our journey towards the captivating Holta’s Canyon. Arriving at the canyon’s entrance by 10:30 am, our adventure begins. Equipped with appropriate attire for traversing the terrain, including sturdy sandals, a swimsuit, and spare clothing for post-exploration comfort, we embark on our exploration of the magnificent surroundings.

As we navigate the rugged terrain surrounding Holta’s Canyon, we’ll encounter the pristine waters of the river, requiring us to wade across. This immersive experience allows us to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the canyon from all angles. After approximately 1.5 hours of exploration, it will be time to retrace our steps.

Following our return journey, we’ll enjoy a relaxing hour at the nearby thermal baths, indulging in the rejuvenating properties of the natural springs. Then, an optional excursion awaits as we head to the tranquil waters of Lake Banja. A serene sailing experience beckons us, offering a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape.

Following these adventures, we’ll have some leisure time for lunch(not included in the price), allowing us to replenish our energy reserves with a delicious meal. Once we’ve satisfied our appetites, we’ll begin our journey back, bidding farewell to the breathtaking landscapes of Holta’s Canyon and the serene waters of Lake Banja.
